Back On Track

Many days have passed by without a proper post in TheWackyHeads. Our authors have become lazy (me, being the best one at that) or have lost interest in writing, we still haven’t figured that out yet! But the undeniable fact is that we all have become busy with our college lives (that’s the best excuse we could think of to give to each other and to our visitors). The main problem that we discovered lately is that we aren’t motivated well enough. We write a post, it gets some likes from Facebook junta and barely a comment or two. We are human beings, we have our expectations. - Read More -

We want our creation to progress, to step up and move ahead in the competition. This thing didn’t happen. Our Google PageRank was invalid for almost 6 months since we started TheWackyHeads, and Alexa rank was beyond 25 million. Still we worked our ass off on this project of ours. Some days passed by and our PageRank advanced to ZERO, and Alexa rank somewhat near to 18 million. This was a short boost for a tiny moment. Then days passed by but nothing improved. The ZERO and 18 million became constants in our life. That was the actual reason for our inactivity.

Days turned to weeks, and weeks to months. We kept on promising that we’ll write tomorrow. Procrastination was of God-Level. Then yesterday out of the blue I checked the PageRank of our blog, and voila!

We’ve added screenshots from three different sources just to convince ourselves that this isn’t a dream :D

Next up, I checked our Alexa ranking, and again…

And finally our stance in IndiBlogger…

That made a nice threesome for us here at TheWackyHeads :)

This is the moment we were all waiting for. We have been kicked hard on our backs after seeing these statistics. And no excuses shall prevail this time :)

This was the best new year gift that you all (our readers) could have offered!

Signing off with a note from the wackiest heads in this planet…

:D Keep rocking guys! YOU FUEL US. And we’re back on track.

Not Atheist, but Rational

Rational meaning

Thousands of people think I’m an atheist, but I do believe in God. So what makes them classify me as an atheist? Lets dig deeper! There are thousands of festivals related to God in India. Few days before the occasion, they make a huge statue resembling the specific God. On the day, they celebrate and throw flowers and stuff on that statue. Few days later they stuff the statue in a truck and drown it down some river or sea (And that time, they get drunk and dance. Seriously! Any explanation on that?). What’s the actual logic behind this? I don’t get it till now that’s why I don’t participate in these rituals at all. And does that make me an atheist? NO! - Read More -

That makes me more of a human than a person who blindly celebrates the ceremony rather than questioning anyone why if they think of the statue as God, then also they throw flowers on it and in the end drown it in some water body. Seriously those people are humiliating God and killing Him every year. They call it celebration. I call it nonsense and inhumane.

Another thing has bothered me since my birth. I still am not convinced about the “semi-nonveg” theory. People say its Monday (or Tuesday, or Saturdat blah blah blah), so they won’t eat anything non-veg that day. Wow, chickens and goats must be celebrating that day! No offense, but from where do these people get such absurd theories? If you eat chicken on Sunday, what difference does it make to eat it on Monday? Think about it and please when you do get a RATIONAL answer then please enlighten my poor soul!

Nostalgic Anniversary

Just a year back my friend from the other side of the moon (Psychotic *Rocket*) called me and asked me to bang a bitch named “blogosphere” together! Thus TWH started as our amateur project. Frequently I would meet him in school and we would discuss the layouts and designs for TWH together. Now I’m sitting alone in a room, far away from my homies, and feeling nostalgic. Together we brought up this little run way project and built it into a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Fellow board mates came in and we became a huge team in no time. I’ve been off from TWH since the past few months due to some un-explainable reasons but the time has finally come to gear up my keyboard and rape every key till they take their last breath. Sincere apologies from me to our fans! This was supposed to be an anniversary post and see actually where it headed to… I’m crazy and out of words at the same time now. Over and out!

The iPod Touch: Affordable!

What has made Apple so popular in the phone and PMP market? The answer is simple. Its SIMPLICITY!

Apple doesn’t over complicate its products so that people even with zero tech knowledge can handle what they pay for. But the fact that iPhone is over-priced in India makes Apple a sign of hatred in our country. But there is a fact most people are unaware of. The iPod Touch aka the iTouch which can be said to be the cousin of the iPhone, costs less than a third of its cousin’s price in India. - Read More -

The major difference between iPod Touch and iPhone is the lack of a SIM card slot in the iPod Touch. Thats it! The iPod Touch has two cameras (quality wise iPhone takes the crown here), it also has 720p recording. All apps for iPhone which don’t require the use of a network service can also be installed in the iPod Touch and run without any lag! Thats the biggest advantage. But wait, do you need to access internet on the iPod Touch? Wi-Fi to the rescue! Yes, the iPod Touch also has a Wi-Fi antennae. You can browse any website with either the default Safari Browser or… Guess what? The iOS platform also has the Google Chrome browser as well! Great relief to all the Google fans out there who want instant sync of all their bookmarks from their PC. Equipped with retina display it is the best screen a PMP has got in the present market. Music quality and battery life? I did mention that we’re talking about Apple, didn’t I? :D

So what would you want to buy if you have a budget of around INR 15000? A smartphone probably! And why? Lots of apps, I guess. Then my friend I would suggest you to take a look at the Apple App Store. Its highly organised and has over half a million apps and games for the iPod Touch. There isn’t even a single Android cellphone which can hold a candle to the iPod Touch at its price range.

The iPod Touch 8GB version is the most affordable of the lot at INR 13500. So if you’ve got INR 15000, then I would suggest (and insist) that you buy an Apple iPod Touch 8GB for INR 13500 and get a lousy cell phone for making calls and SMS only. Symbian is outdated but is the best out there for budget conscious people who want just a basic call making cellphone.

P.S. This is not an advertisement of Apple products! I wrote this just to spread the word that their Apple dreams can be lived with a low price iPod Touch :)

P.P.S. I swear on my ass, I’m not an Apple fanboy :P

Time Travel

Here is some food for thought for the fellows who believe in time travel. Let me ask you a question. Has anyone from future ever come to visit you? Like your future son or grandson? Ever? I guess NO! Have you ever gone back to the past to provide some useful resource to your father so that he could have done more excellent in studies and earned more than his current salary? NO? Has your future son or grandson done that? Has he ever appeared out of nowhere with a cloak of invisibility and dictated you all answers in a test? Think for a second, if you could ever have traveled to the past would you not have helped your father to become another Birla or Ambani? So if time travel is really possible why hasn’t your son or grandson done that till now? - Read More -

Now let us drag the dead Einstein to our conversation! He said E=mc^2, so according to this equation if you travel at the speed of light your mass will tend to infinity. So infact there is not a single particle (with appreciable mass) which can travel at the speed of light! So theoretically and practically if there exists no such mass possessing particle then how can you ever move at the speed of light or someone else to travel the past or future?

Some scientists have defined some parts of the universe as worm holes. According to them its a curvature in the space-time fabric which connects one part of universe to another, kind of teleportation stuff! But think for a second, would you ever practically reach a worm hole to get teleported to another part of the universe only to find no humans there? Would you even bother to? :D
